Anand Mahindra amused by the “out of stock” Taj Mahal Lego in Manhattan, New York

The Lego Group, a privately held company with headquarters in Billund, Denmark, is the maker of the Lego brand of plastic construction toys. As of 2021, Lego was the largest toy producer in the world. Lego, the brand’s flagship product, is constructed of colorful, interlocking plastic blocks that come with a range of gears, Minifigure figurines, and other accessories. Various combinations of Lego parts can be used to make structures, vehicles, and useful robots. Anything created may be disassembled again and the parts used to build new things.

Together, all different kinds of Lego pieces form a vast system. Despite changes in design and functions throughout time, every component still functions with other parts in some way. Lego bricks from 1958 still fit together with those made today, and Lego sets for young children can be used with those built for teens. There are 915,103,765 different ways to arrange six bricks with two or four studs.

Each Lego component must be produced with a high degree of precision. When two components are engaged, they ought to snap together easily while fitting tightly. Equipment used to manufacture Lego bricks has tolerances as small as 10 micrometers.

Some of the most popular LeGo designs are Life-sized Indiana Jones, Mec Lego, beauty and the beast, Lego Taj Mahal, The White House Lego, and many more. Speaking of which India one of the biggest business tycoons recently tweeted a picture of a Lego showroom in Manhattan, New York, with Taj Mahal and The White House Legos. He was pretty amused by the fact that The Taj Mahal Lego was out of stock whereas The White House lego was piled up and was in full stock.

He tweeted: “Lego store in Manhattan New York. Interesting that the Taj Mahal flies off the shelf faster and is out of stock but the White House is plentiful…Maybe there should be some kind of LEGO group Index of relative brand values!”
