Vi Officially Announces its Recharge-Linked Handset Theft & Loss Insurance Plan for Selected Packs: Available With INR 61, INR 201, and INR 251 Packs
The India-based telecom provider – Vi has now officially announced its recharge-linked handset theft & loss insurance plan, and it can be availed by users with three selected recharge packs. Notably, Vi is the only and very first telecom brand in India to offer such a benefit to users.

Vi’s New Recharge-Linked Handset Theft & Loss Insurance Plan – Officially Announced
The newly-announced recharge-linked handset theft & loss insurance plan of Vi aims to address the concern of its users when losing their devices, as traditional damage-only insurance does not cover such matters. This new initiative targets Vi prepaid users, and they can avail it both for iOS and Android devices. As mentioned, three recharge packs of Vi offer the handset theft & loss insurance plan, and these are considered to be the most economical handset protection choice.
Speaking more, the selected recharge packs include the INR 61 (2GB data for 15 days), INR 201 (10GB data for 30 days), and INR 251 (10GB data for 30 days) packs, and these will offer 30 days, 180 days, and 365 days handset insurance validity. Up to INR 25,000 insured SUM can be claimed across all the mentioned packs. Notably, simplified claim process, minimized paperwork, and reduced market gaps (with respect to high premiums, accessibility, convenience) are also added features.
Just to add, the brand notes that the recharge-linked handset theft & loss insurance plan follows Vi’s other value added initiatives. At the moment, benefits like the Hero Unlimited suite (with unlimited high speed data at night, weekend data rollover, on-demand extra data), Super Hero plans (with unlimited 12-hour data), and NonStop Hero plans (with unlimited 24-hour data) are being offered. It has also been noted that the Vi Max postpaid pack has great benefits as well, and offers the largest data pool for family members in the Indian market.
