The market leader of India’s telecom sector – Reliance Jio is now rolling out its new spam call alerts feature and it is already now available to Jio SIM users. Notably, this is an in-built feature for incoming calls.

Jio’s New Spam Call Alerts Now Available to its Indian Users
A few days back, it was reported that following the track of other telecom providers (like Airtel, VI, and BSNL), Reliance Jio is also working on a spam call detection feature. Well, it seems that Jio has slowly started rolling it out to its users and if you are one among them, this feature could be visible on your device by now. As per what has been revealed, unlike Truecaller which is an independent spam detection app, Jio’s spam call alert functionality is a built-in feature and users won’t have to download a separate app for it. [However, it has to be noted that many users have already complained as the numbers of delivery agents and cab drivers are being marked as spam and Jio will have to optimize it]
Speaking of a few other updates, last month in September 2025, Jio introduced a Rs. 349 celebration plan as part of its 9th anniversary and in the same month, the brand started offering its JioSaavn Pro subscription for INR 9 (only valid for the first two months*). Also, recently the Indian users of the Galaxy S24 Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 variant had reported issues connecting to Jio’s 5G network, and its fix has not yet been rolled out or implemented.
