BSNL Unveils its New Learners Plan Worth INR 251 for Students: 100GB Data, Unlimited Calls, 100 Daily SMS, and 28 Days Validity
India’s state-owned telecom provider – BSNL has now officially unveiled its new Learners plan. This recharge plan has been brought out for students, and brings certain exciting benefits for them.

BSNL’s Learners Plan – Officially Unveiled
As mentioned, aiming students, BSNL has now unveiled a new recharge plan called the ‘Learners Plan’. The brand claims it to be ‘The 100GB Plan Every Student Needs!’ for study, streaming, classes, and projects. In addition to the 100GB of data, it is also offering unlimited calling, 100 SMS per day, and a validity period of 28 days.
Interested BSNL users can now recharge with the plan, and it can be done via BReX – BSNL’s AI-powered recharge guide. Also to note, this new recharge plan has been introduced as part of an offer, and it will only be valid till the 13th of December 2025.
In related news, as per the October 2025 telecom subscription data that was released by TRAI late last month in November 2025, BSNL managed to add 2.69 lakh new subscribers to its existing user base, bringing the total to 9.25 crore. However, the state-owned telecom provider still falls behind the giants – Jio and Airtel which have a total user base of 48.47 crore and 39.37 crore respectively. Also, a few days back, via its X handle for Karnataka, the brand announced its new December 2025 tariffs with new offers and new savings for all its users. These include prepaid plans, postpaid plans, data packs, and special recharges.
Just to add, telecom reports concerning the mandatory CNAP service in the Indian Telecommunication Network as well as the telecom industry’s proposal for satellite-based always-on location tracking were notable news that were discussed in terms of privacy and security aspects.
