BSNL Officially Announces the Nationwide Roll-Out of its VoWiFi Services: Now Available Under All Telecom Circles

India’s state-owned telecom service provider – Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has now officially announced its VoWiFi services across the entire nation. As per what has been revealed, it is now available and accessible under all telecom circles of the country.

BSNL’s VoWiFi Services Now Available in All Parts of India

On the day of New Year (1st of January 2026), BSNL has made an exciting announcement for its users, and this is regarding the nationwide roll-out of the Voice-over-WiFi (VoWiFi) or WiFi Calling service. As mentioned above, it has now been made available to all the BSNL users under every telecom circle of the country, thereby ensuring that its users always get a seamless and high-quality connectivity experience, that too even under any challenging environments.

Speaking more about the service, with the VoWiFi service, users will be able to make as well as receive calls and messages over a WiFi network, and this is most beneficial in areas where there is weak mobile signal, but a stable WiFi connection should be there. Notably, as VoWiFi is an IMS-based service, seamless hangovers between mobile networks and WiFi is possible. Moreover, there is no need for any third-party applications as the calls are made relying on the users’ mobile number and the respective phone dialer. Reduced network congestion and no additional charges are also its other notable aspects. To add, VoWiFi will be supported on almost all the modern smartphones, and users just have to turn it on to access it.
