Airtel Perplexity Pro users asked to add a valid payment method to continue using their free trial
Back in July 2025, Airtel announced its partnership with Perplexity, as per which the company was offering a free Perplexity Pro subscription for 12 months to its mobile, WiFi, and DTH users.
Well, now there is a new condition for the Airtel users to continue this offer. Perplexity is now sending a new email to Airtel users regarding the use of its Pro subscription plan for free.
The email mentions that the company is updating how its Perplexity Pro trials work to protect the program for legitimate users. Users will now have to add a valid payment method to continue their free trial. The users will not be charged during the trial period, but the amount will be deducted once the free trial period ends, and their subscription will renew automatically unless cancelled beforehand.
This requirement was not announced back in July, but the Perplexity support page now mentions that a credit card will be required to redeem this offer.
If you have also received the above email, follow the steps to update your payment method:
- Tap on the Update Card Information option in the email
- You will be redirected to the payment gateway
- Add your credit/debit card details
- Click on Update
After updating the information, you will be able to use the Perplexity Pro for free.
