Xiaomi Pad 8 and Redmi Note 15 Pro+ Spotted on Indian BIS, Xiaomi Pad 8 Chinese Variant Also Appears on Geekbench

Both the Xiaomi Pad 8 and the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ have now been spotted on the Indian BIS certification. Along with this, the Chinese variant of the Xiaomi Pad 8 has also been spotted on the Geekbench database.

Here is more to it.

Xiaomi Pad 8 Spotted on the BIS Certification

The BIS listing, first spotted by tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, reveals a Xiaomi device with the model number 25097RP43CI, approved on 18th September 2025 under the tablet category. Although the certification does not confirm the name, the model number aligns with the alleged Chinese variant of the Xiaomi Pad 8 (25097RP43C).

In addition, the alleged Chinese variant of the Xiaomi Pad 8 with model number 25097RP43C has also appeared on the Geekbench database, where it scored 1984 points in single-core and 6323 points in multi-core tests. The listing confirms a total of 8 cores — with 2 cores running at 2.02GHz, 2 cores at 2.8GHz, 3 cores at 3.01GHz, and the primary core at 3.21GHz — paired with the Adreno 825 GPU, pointing to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. Furthermore, the Geekbench listing reveals the prototype was tested with 12GB of RAM. It also confirms that the device may come with Android 16 out of the box.

Regarding the launch, the Xiaomi Pad 8 Series, comprising the Xiaomi Pad 8 and Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro, is expected to debut later this month in China alongside the Xiaomi 17 Series and most likely launch later in India.

Redmi Note 15 Pro+ spotted on the Indian BIS Certification

The BIS database also shows a Redmi device with model number 2510ERA8BI, approved on 16th September 2025 under the mobile phone category. While the listing does not reveal the name, this model number matches the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ Chinese variant (with the suffix “C” instead of “I”).

From previous reports, the Redmi Note 15 Pro global variant was spotted on the IMEI, FCC, and NBTC certifications with the model number 25080RABDG. However, it hasn’t appeared yet on the Indian BIS certification.

The Redmi Note 15 Series has already been launched in China, and according to tipster Sudhanshu, since the model numbers are similar, we can expect the Indian variants to carry similar specifications as the Chinese ones. However, earlier, another tipster named Yogesh Brar claimed that the Redmi Note 15 Series (India) would be different from the Chinese models. And since all these are leaks, it’s always best to take them with a pinch of salt.
