Xiaomi 17 Ultra Standard Global Variant Appears on Geekbench AI with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, Android 16 and 16GB RAM

Back in December 2025, Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in its home market of China in two variants: the Standard version and the Leica Edition. At the time, Xu Fei (VP and CMO of Xiaomi Group) confirmed that the device would also debut in global markets. Now, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Standard variant has been spotted on the Geekbench AI database, hinting at an imminent launch.

Here is more to it.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra Standard Global variant spotted on Geekbench AI

The Chinese variant of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s Standard variant carries the model number 2512BPNDAC, and a new model number, 2512BPNDAG, has now appeared on the Geekbench AI database. The close similarity between the two model numbers strongly suggests that this newly listed device is the global variant of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. Unlike the standard Geekbench 6 benchmark, the Geekbench AI listing reveals a single precision score of 2187, a half precision score of 3248, and a quantised score of 2694.

The benchmark listing also shows two CPU clusters, with six cores clocked at 3.63GHz and two cores running at 4.61GHz. From the source code, the device is revealed to feature the Adreno 840 GPU, which is paired with the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. The prototype unit was running on Android 16 and equipped with 16GB of RAM, with 14.6GB shown as usable in the listing. This indicates that the global variant is also likely to offer a 16GB RAM option, similar to the Chinese model, and given the similarity in model numbers, the overall specifications are expected to remain largely unchanged between the two versions.

So far, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s Standard global variant has already been spotted across several certification platforms. These include the FCC, which confirmed wireless charging support, as well as the IMEI database, Indonesia’s SDPPI, Thailand’s NBTC, and India’s BIS certification platforms. Collectively, these sightings point towards Xiaomi preparing for a global launch.

However, it is worth noting that the model number discussed above corresponds to the standard variant of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. Another model number, 25128PNA1G, was previously spotted on the IMDA certification platform, and this closely matches the Chinese model number of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition, with only the last alphabet changing from “C” for China to “G” for global. This suggests that Xiaomi may also be considering launching the Leica Edition in selected global markets.

As for the launch timeline, some earlier rumours pointed towards a January 2026 global debut. However, with most of January now over and no official confirmation yet, a February launch appears more likely at this stage.
