Xiaomi 17 Ultra global variant with model number “2512BPNDAG” spotted on FCC and IMEI database
Earlier, the Chinese variant of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, bearing the model number “2512BPNDAC”, was spotted on China’s 3C certification website, confirming support for 100W fast wired charging. Now, the device’s global variant has surfaced on both the FCC certification database and the IMEI database, revealing several key details ahead of launch.
Here is more to it.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra Global Variant spotted on FCC and IMEI
It has appeared on the FCC certification database with the model number “2512BPNDAG” and FCC ID “2AFZZ2512BPN.” The listing confirms that the global variant will run HyperOS 3, based on Android 16. Additionally, the FCC E-label indicates that the smartphone will also in Europe.
According to the filing, the device supports 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, and 5G networks. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 4 (802.11b/g/n) – 2.4GHz, Wi-Fi 5 (802.11a/n/ac) – 5GHz, Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) – 2.4GHz & 5GHz, Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) – 2.4GHz & 5GHz, and Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) – 6GHz (with EHT support), along with Bluetooth BR/EDR/LE and NFC (13.56MHz).
The certification also confirms Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) support in the 110–148kHz range, verifying the presence of wireless charging, although the exact charging wattage has not been specified.
Only a limited amount of information has surfaced via the FCC so far. However, the IMEI database has confirmed that the model number “2512BPNDAG” is listed as the Xiaomi 17 Ultra.

Recently, alleged spy shots of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra have surfaced online, revealing a triple rear camera setup. Based on earlier reports, rumours suggest that Xiaomi may launch the device in its home market, China, around 26 December 2025.
In terms of specifications, the device is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and could feature a battery capacity ranging between 6,000mAh and 7,000mAh.
On the camera side, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to include a 50MP main camera using the OmniVision OV50X 1-inch sensor, a 200MP periscope telephoto camera based on the Samsung ISOCELL HP5, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. Earlier reports had also mentioned a 50MP Samsung JN5 telephoto sensor, but that now appears unlikely.*
Details about the global launch remain unclear for now. Early rumours claim that Xiaomi could launch the vanilla Xiaomi 17 in global markets in January 2026. If Xiaomi follows the same approach it used for the Xiaomi 15 series, where both the vanilla and Ultra models launched globally at the same time, a similar rollout could happen again.
That said, this is still speculation. However, the appearance of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in the FCC database suggests that its launch timeline may be getting closer.
