Xiaomi has so far launched four smartphones under the Xiaomi 17 series in China, including the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, and Xiaomi 17 Ultra. Along with the name, the tipster has also revealed details about the phone’s battery capacity.
Here is more to it.
Xiaomi 17 Max Launch Timeline Tipped
According to the post on X, the Xiaomi 17 Max will be the fifth smartphone in the Xiaomi 17 series and is expected to feature a large 8,000mAh battery. This battery capacity was previously tipped by Digital Chat Station (via Gizmochina), who had also suggested support for 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. He further adds that the Xiaomi 17 Max could arrive as early as next month, which is march.

In the same post, @KaroulSahil shared a render image that was earlier associated with the Xiaomi 17 Air. Recent reports indicate that Xiaomi may have dropped plans for the Xiaomi 17 Air due to poor market interest in slim smartphones. However, it remains possible that Xiaomi could reuse this design for the Xiaomi 17 Max.
Further information shared by Digital Chat Station on Weibo suggests that the Xiaomi 17 Max could focus heavily on camera hardware. The device is tipped to feature a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP-series main camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor. This may be paired with a 50MP Sony IMX8-series periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.953-inch sensor, along with a 50MP ultrawide lens.
Previously, Digital Chat Station had indicated that the Xiaomi 17 Max would debut in Q2 2026 in China. However, the latest tip now points towards an earlier launch timeline. Xiaomi is also reportedly preparing to introduce the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra in global markets next month, including both Standard and Leica editions.
As of now, there is no official confirmation regarding a global/China launch for the Xiaomi 17 Max.
