Vivo Y05 appears on TDRA and Bluetooth SIG, while CQC confirms 15W charging

A new budget smartphone from Vivo appears to be on the way, as it has now popped up on the UAE’s TDRA certification, along with the Bluetooth SIG and CQC certifications, which have also revealed key details, including its charging specs.

Here is more to it.

Vivo Y05 spotted on TDRA, Bluetooth SIG, and CQC

This upcoming smartphone has now been spotted on the UAE’s TDRA certification, which reveals the model number as “V2556”, and alongside it is the moniker, confirming that it belongs to the upcoming Vivo Y05.

Next is the Bluetooth SIG certification, which also lists this device. Looking at the listing, the Bluetooth SIG shows two model numbers — one that has already appeared on the TDRA as “V2556”, while the other model number is listed as “V2565”. This suggests these could be region-specific model numbers.

And lastly, on the CQC certification, the model number is again shown as “V2556”, the same one seen on the TDRA and the Bluetooth SIG. However, unlike the TDRA and Bluetooth SIG listings, it does not mention the moniker. Speaking more about this certification, it does reveal that the device will come with 15W (5V × 3A) fast wired charging support.

Just like its predecessor, the Vivo Y04, it appears the Y05 will also come with the same 15W fast wired charging support, as per the CQC certification. Looking at Vivo’s launch timeline, the Vivo Y04 was launched in February last year, suggesting that the Y05 could also debut next month. However, Vivo is yet to make any official announcement regarding the smartphone.
