Vivo S50 Pro Mini pops up on Geekbench with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, Android 16 and 16GB RAM

Vivo is gearing up to launch the Vivo S50 series in China, which includes the Vivo S50 and the Vivo S50 Pro Mini. The launch is confirmed for December, and both phones have already started popping up in various certification listings. Earlier, the standard Vivo S50 was spotted on Geekbench, and now the Vivo S50 Pro Mini has also shown up on the platform, revealing some key details.

The listing, first spotted by tipster Anvin on X, shows the device carrying the model number V2527A. While Geekbench does not explicitly confirm the phone’s name, it is widely believed to be the Vivo S50 Pro Mini.

The prototype achieved a single-core score of 2778 and a multi-core score of 9344. It features a dual-cluster CPU configuration with two cores clocked at 3.80GHz and six cores at 3.32GHz. The source code further confirms the presence of an Adreno 829 GPU, indicating that the device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, which was recently announced. The unit tested was running Android 16 with the software version PD2527C_A_16.0.10.0.W10, paired with 16GB of RAM.

Previously, Vivo’s Product Manager confirmed that the S50 Pro Mini will indeed ship with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, along with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, and an AnTuTu score exceeding 3 million for the S50 Pro Mini model. He also revealed the design and several key features of the upcoming device.

According to him, the smartphone will feature a 6.31-inch flat display, a VCS ultra-sensitive bionic main camera, a Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens, a 50MP front camera, anti-distortion soft light for selfies, and a flagship-grade all-focal-length zoom flash.

Additionally, the S50 Pro Mini is expected to include a 6500mAh Blue Ocean battery, 90W wired charging (as revealed earlier via 3C), 40W wireless charging, an X-axis linear motor, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint 2.0 sensor, and IP69 + IP68 water-resistance ratings.
