Vivo May Launch Vivo V60 in India on August 19, 2025, Alongside OriginOS Based on Android 16
Vivo V60 has recently been spotted on several key certification websites, creating speculation that its launch could be around the corner. Although Vivo has yet to officially confirm the device, a new leak from tipster Abhishek Yadav suggests that the Vivo V60 may launch on 19 August 2025.
According to the tipster, Vivo may also launch the OriginOS alongside the Vivo V60, which will be based on Android 16. This would mark a significant shift, as Vivo currently offers FuntouchOS to users outside China while restricting OriginOS to its home market. Earlier reports had hinted that OriginOS might expand beyond China, aligning with this new tip. Though there may not be a complete merger of FuntouchOS and OriginOS.

As for the Vivo V60 itself, earlier Geekbench listings suggest it will be powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, paired with Android 15 and at least 8GB of RAM. TUV certification points to support for 90W wired fast charging, while other leaks indicate the phone will feature a 6.67‑inch OLED display offering 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, an in‑display fingerprint sensor, and an IP69 rating. Under the hood, it is said to pack a 6,500 mAh battery along with UFS 2.2 storage.
On the camera front, the V60 is rumoured to house a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 50MP 3x periscope camera with OIS, and an 8MP sensor. These details come through certifications and leaks, but an official announcement from Vivo is still awaited. With just over a month to go, further updates are expected, possibly as early as the first week of August 2025.
