Upcoming Xiaomi 16 Pro Max Smartphone First Look Images Shared Online, Revealing Secondary Display Screen

The Chinese leading smartphone maker – Xiaomi has already announced the brand’s next flagship 16 series pre-booking in its home market, and reportedly it is said to debut this month (September 2025) in the country. Multiple reports concerning the Xiaomi 16 series came to light over the past few weeks and now, the first look images of the upcoming Xiaomi 16 Pro Max model have been shared online. Along with certain other design and hardware related aspects, the shared images also reveal a secondary display screen too for this device.

Xiaomi 16 Pro Max – First Look Images Confirm Secondary Display Screen?

This update comes from the X tipster @That_Kartikey and as earlier revealed, the Xiaomi 16 series will indeed be re-introducing a secondary display screen at the rear (after the 2021-released Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra). It is said to be featured on the Xiaomi 16 Pro Max smartphone and the shared first look images point out Purple and White color choices for the device. Furthermore, in terms of design, Xiaomi will also be adopting an iPhone 17 series-like design on the upcoming Xiaomi 16 Pro Max smartphone and it will be sporting a rectangular-like-shaped projected camera module at the top portion of the flat rear panel, housing two camera sensors at the left and the secondary display at the right. Outside the camera module at the bottom, the third camera sensor as well as an LED flashlight can be spotted. Also, at the right side panel, there is the volume rockers + power button, and at the bottom side panel there are speaker/mic holes and a USB type-C port. Antenna lines can also be spotted along the flat sides with rounded corners.

Speaking of other previous updates, this time’s Xiaomi 16 series is believed to debut with the Xiaomi 16, Xiaomi 16 Pro, and Xiaomi 16 Pro Max (earlier suggested to be called ‘Xiaomi 16 Pro Mini’) smartphone models, and a Xiaomi 16 Ultra model will be later unveiled in early 2026. Also, three Xiaomi smartphones have received China’s 3C certification and two are confirmed to support 100W wired fast charging. Reportedly, the Xiaomi 16 series is also said to be the first to arrive with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 flagship chip onboard, while other specs which include HyperOS 3, 6.3″ display, 50MP triple rear camera system, and 6800 mAh battery are expected on the standard Xiaomi 16 device as per what have been reported
