Upcoming Samsung Galaxy A37 5G and Galaxy A57 5G clear GCF certification; eSIM and NFC support revealed

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy A37 5G and Galaxy A57 5G have both been spotted on the GCF (Global Certification Forum) certification, which has revealed the connectivity options the two smartphones are going to come with.

Samsung Galaxy A37 5G / Galaxy A57 5G – GCF Certification
Model numbers “SM-A376B/DS, SM-A376B” and “SM-A576B/DS, SM-A576B” have surfaced on the GCF certification under the names Galaxy A37 5G and Galaxy A57 5G, respectively. The DS suffix confirms dual-SIM support, while the Galaxy A37 5G and Galaxy A57 5G carry reference numbers “13519” and “13529”, respectively.
The connectivity options revealed for both devices are similar. Both will come with support for GSM, WCDMA, HSDPA, Enhanced Uplink (EUL), supported 4G LTE FDD/TDD bands (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 20, 25/26, 28, 28A, 28B, 32, and 66 / 38, 40, 41), along with 5G NR (SA) and 5G EN-DC (NSA) features. They will also support 5G bands such as n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n20, n26, n28 (20MHz/30MHz bandwidth), n38, n40, n41, n66, n71, n77, and n78.
Apart from the connectivity options, the listing also reveals the presence of an Embedded Secure Element (eSE) paired with NFC capabilities for both devices, which will facilitate secure, contactless transactions and data protection. This hardware-based security component is designed to protect sensitive information, such as credit card details, for services like Samsung Wallet and Google Pay.
Additionally, the listing confirms support for a physical SIM (removable UICC) as well as an eSIM (non-removable eUICC). Adding to this, the certification also shows support for H.264 – AVC video codecs.
Speaking more on this, apart from the above certifications, the Galaxy A37 5G and Galaxy A57 5G were earlier spotted on the Geekbench database, which revealed that the former will be powered by the Exynos 1480 SoC, paired with 6GB RAM and running Android 16. For the latter, it was revealed to feature the Exynos 1680 SoC, 12GB RAM, and Android 16 OS. The battery specifications for the Galaxy A37 5G were revealed via the TUV certification, listing a 4,905mAh battery with support for 45W fast wired charging. The TUV listing also revealed the same charging specifications for the Galaxy A57 5G, but did not disclose the battery capacity for the A57 5G.
Out of the two, the Galaxy A57 5G has also been spotted on TENAA, which revealed its design and confirmed that it will come with a 6.6″ FHD+ display (1080 × 2340), dimensions of 161.5 × 76.8 × 6.9mm, and a weight of 182 grams. TENAA also listed an octa-core processor, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, a 50MP + 12MP + 5MP triple rear camera, a 12MP front camera, and a 5,000mAh battery, along with in-display fingerprint support and standard sensors.
The launch of both smartphones has not yet been teased by Samsung, but if rumours are to be believed, it may happen soon.
