Upcoming POCO M8 Pro Revealed to Hit the Global Market as a Re-Branded Redmi Note 15 Pro+ Smartphone

Two days back, we had officially witnessed the Redmi Note 15 series smartphones debuting in the Chinese market, and three smartphone models were unveiled as part of the series: Redmi Note 15 5G, Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G. Following this, reports concerning the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ global variant also popped out, revealing that it will have a few tweaked specs when compared with its Chinese counterpart – particularly with respect to its battery and camera aspects.

Now, a new update has revealed that the next POCO M8 Pro smartphone will be arriving in the global market as a re-branded version of the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ device, suggesting that the entire POCO lineup could be revamped to occupy the new Redmi Note 15 Pro+ re-brand. Read more about it below.

POCO M8 Pro – To Arrive as Redmi Note 15 Pro+ Re-Brand for Global Audience?

As mentioned, while initially it was being said that the POCO X8 would likely come as the re-branded version of the Redmi Note 15 Pro with the model number of ‘2510ERA8BC’ (as its predecessor was a Redmi Note 14 Pro re-brand), later updates pointed out that this mentioned model number is associated with the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ and not with the Redmi Note 15 Pro.

However, the firmware has now revealed that the model number – ‘2510EPC8BG’ (similar to that of the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ smartphone’s model number) is attributed to the POCO M8 Pro. Looking at the previous POCO M7 Pro, it was actually the re-branded version of the standard Redmi Note 14 5G. This means, Xiaomi’s POCO subsidiary could be planning to revamp its entire POCO lineup, and reposition its POCO M-series at the forefront for global customers.

Speaking more, if this is the case, the upcoming POCO M8 Pro smartphone can be expected to pack a 6500 mAh battery supporting 100W wired fast charging, and it is likely to sport an OmniVision OVX8000 primary shooter (also used in the previous Xiaomi 14 Civi and Redmi Note 14 Pro models), in addition to an 8MP OmniVision OV08F ultra-wide camera. The other specs could be similar to the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ variant that is now available in the Chinese market.

Stay tuned for more updates.
