Upcoming Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 Spotted on Malaysian SIRIM and TÜV Certifications; TÜV Confirms IP68/IP69 Protection

Huawei is probably going to launch the successor to the Huawei Watch Ultimate soon, as we have now spotted the Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 on the Malaysian SIRIM as well as TÜV certification databases.

Here is more to it.

Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 spotted on SIRIM and TUV

Let’s begin with the SIRIM certification. It has been spotted with the model number “MCH-AL00” under the device category “watch” and was approved on 27th August 2025 with the approval code “RDCX/94L/0825/S(25-4360)”. The SIRIM certification confirms the moniker and the model number but doesn’t share any specifications.

However, this same model number has also been spotted on the TÜV certification, and this listing confirms that the smartwatch will come with IP68 and IP69-rated protection. This means it will be dustproof, safe to submerge, and resistant to strong water sprays. Huawei may market it as a rugged smartwatch.

Additionally, the Huawei Watch Ultimate came with only IP68-rated protection, meaning it could stay submerged in water up to a depth of 1.5 metres for about 30 minutes. Therefore, the Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 is expected to be more rugged than its predecessor.

If you recall, the Huawei Watch Ultimate was launched in 2023, and later in November 2024, Huawei launched the Watch Ultimate Design (Gold Edition). Both models had the same specifications; however, the Watch Ultimate Design featured 18K gold in its bezel and crown and came with a triple-mesh chain strap, presenting a more luxurious and premium aesthetic. With the Watch Ultimate 2 now spotted on certifications, we may hear an official announcement very soon.
