Tecno Spark 50 5G With MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, 6GB RAM, and Android 16 OS Shows Up on Google Play Console

The upcoming Spark series smartphone from Tecno, the Tecno Spark 50 5G, has now been spotted on the Google Play Console, revealing some key specifications of this upcoming smartphone.

If you look at the screenshot below from the Google Play Console listing, it shows the model number “KN8”, and next to it is the moniker Tecno Spark 50 5G. Further, the listing also reveals that the phone is powered by the MediaTek MT6835V/TZ SoC, which has 2 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and the remaining 6 cores at 2.0GHz, paired with a Mali-G57 (962 MHz) GPU. This points to the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC. It also shows that the phone will come with Android 16 OS out of the box and 6GB RAM as one of the RAM variants.

Moving on, the display specifications are also revealed. It shows a screen resolution of 720 × 1576 pixels with a pixel density of 280 DPI. The front layout is also visible, showing a punch-hole display with thick bezels and a slightly thicker chin. On the right side, the volume rocker and the power button can be seen, which may also double as a fingerprint sensor.

Now this is a tussle, because the Tecno Spark 40 5G came with the Dimensity 6400 SoC, and equipping its successor with the Dimensity 6300 SoC would not make much sense. So, I think this listing is probably incorrect, and most likely once its Geekbench listing appears, it will clear the air.

Previously, this same smartphone’s model number had also appeared on the TUV certification, revealing two battery sizes of 5,990mAh and 6,340mAh, which could be region-specific. Along with this, it was also spotted on the Carlcare Service website (India), which revealed three memory options of 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB.
