Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G spotted on Google Play Console with Dimensity 7100 SoC; also appears on TUV with 7,750mAh battery

Tecno launched the Tecno Pova Curve 5G smartphone back in May last year in the Indian market, and it now appears that its successor, the Pova Curve 2 5G, could be launching soon. This is because the device has now been spotted on the Google Play Console listing and the TUV certficiation.
Here si more to it.
Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G spotted on Google Play Console and TUV
At the top of the Google Play Console listing, it mentions “TECNO TECNO-LK7k”, and next to it, the moniker “TECNO POVA Curve 2 5G” is visible. Under the system-on-chip section, the chipset codename is listed as MediaTek MT6858, paired with ARM Mali-G610 GPU clocked at 1000 MHz. The CPU configuration shows three clusters with a single ARM Cortex-A78 core clocked at 2.5GHz, three ARM Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.5GHz, and the remaining four ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0GHz.
Now, here is something slightly confusing. The chipset codename and GPU configuration point towards the Dimensity 7100 SoC. However, looking at the CPU architecture, it shows a 1+3+4 configuration, with the single core and the three cores running at the same 2.5GHz frequency. This suggests that it is still likely the Dimensity 7100 SoC, as Google Play Console often splits clusters as 1+3+4 instead of presenting them as 4+4, even though architecturally they belong to the same performance cluster.

This Google Play Console listing also reveals that the smartphone will come with Android 16 out of the box. One of the memory options listed is 12GB RAM. Apart from this, it also reveals a screen resolution of 1080 × 2364 pixels with a pixel density of 420 DPI.
At the bottom of the listing, it again mentions the model number “TECNO-LK7k”, along with the moniker Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G.
Furthermore, the same model number “LK7k” has also been spotted on the TUV certification platform. Under the ratings and principal characteristics section, the battery details are visible. As per the certification, the smartphone will feature a 7,750mAh rechargeable lithium-ion polymer battery.

As the smartphone has now appeared on multiple certifications, a launch could be expected in the near future.
