Samsung Lists Galaxy M17e 5G on Security Updates Policy Page Ahead of Launch, Confirms Quarterly Security Updates
We had already covered the news about the Galaxy M17e 5G’s microsite being listed on Amazon India. Now, via Samsung’s update policy page, some additional details have been revealed regarding its update policy.

Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G – Samsung’s Update Policy Page
As per the policy page, the Galaxy M17e 5G will be receiving quarterly security patch updates, just like its siblings, the Galaxy A07 5G and Galaxy F70e 5G. However, the policy page does not mention anything about how many OS upgrades or for how many years the security patch updates will be provided for this smartphone.
As per earlier reports, the Galaxy M17e 5G will be a rebadged version of the Galaxy A07 5G, aka the Galaxy F70e 5G. In this case, the Galaxy M17e 5G will also likely come with a similar update policy of six major OS upgrades and security patch updates, although this is not officially confirmed yet.
Currently, on the Amazon microsite, a few details such as the design and the colour options of purple and green have been revealed. Apart from this, the microsite does not reveal many specifications and neither mentions any launch date for this smartphone in India.
In the coming days, more details will officially be revealed about this smartphone. Along with this, Samsung is also expected to launch the Galaxy A07 5G and Galaxy A57 5G in the same month as well.
