Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Receives the FCC Certification: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Chip, 5G Network, Triple-Band WiFi 7, NFC, and More Pointed Out

Following all the previous updates, the FCC certification listing of the Galaxy S26 Ultra smartphone has been spotted now. Via this new certification listing, a few of its key specs have also been pointed out.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra (SM-S948B/DS, SM-S948B, SM-S948U, SM-S948U1) – FCC Certification

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra smartphone models carrying the model numbers of ‘SM-S948B/DS’, ‘SM-S948B’, ‘SM-S948U’, and ‘SM-S948U1’ have been spotted on the FCC certification database (‘B’ – India/International Variant; ‘U’ – US Variant), and these devices have received the certification with the FCC ID of ‘A3LSMS948B’/’A3LSMS948U’. On the certification database, the smartphone has been listed as a ‘portable handset’, and connectivity specs such as 2G/3G/4G/5G network, triple-band WiFi 7 (2.4GHz, 5GHz, 6GHz), Bluetooth (1x, EDR, LE), NFC, wireless power transfer – WPT (wireless reverse charging), and UWB have been revealed.

Notably, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset (SM8850) has also been revealed for the device, as well as the Qualcomm Smart Transmit Plus EFS v24 (offering antenna grouping and multi_tx_factor of 1.27). A schematic image for its different antennas (WiFi1 2.4G/5G/6G, WiFi2 2.4G, WiFi2 5G/6G, UWB1, UWB2 Rx-only) has been listed too.

Speaking more, we have already come across multiple updates concerning the upcoming Galaxy S26 series flagships. About the Galaxy S26 Ultra, while earlier updates had suggested that Samsung would likely use the Exynos 2600 chipset on all the Galaxy S26 series models, recently it was reported that the Galaxy S26 Ultra for all the markets will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chip (over-clocked version*).

In terms of its cameras, a rear camera module consisting of a 50MP telephoto camera (5x zoom), 50MP ultra-wide camera, 10MP telephoto camera (3x zoom), and a 200MP main camera is said to be offered, along with a 12MP selfie camera. Furthermore, Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra batteries that carry the model numbers of ‘EB-BS948ABE’ and ‘EB-BS948ABY’ were also listed on the BIS database, and as per 3C, it is suggested to pack a 4855 mAh rated battery (5000 mAh typical value).
