Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra – Tipped Camera and Weight Details
Just like most of the previous updates, these new updates have also arrived from the tipster @UniverseIce. As per what have been mentioned, Samsung seems to be downgrading its upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra camera capabilities by using the same ISOCELL HP2 camera sensor for four consecutive years as well as the same 50MP periscope telephoto camera sensor with a size of 1/2.52″. This also means that the periscope telephoto camera that is believed to be used on the upcoming flagship will be the smallest in comparison to other global flagships of 2026.
Also, as noted by the tipster, the camera bump from 2.4mm on the 2025-released Galaxy S25 Ultra, is said to be increased to 4.5mm on the next Galaxy S26 Ultra. The larger aperture main (f/1.4) and telephoto cameras are pointed out to be the reason for this increase. Furthermore, the tipster also adds that the increased bump could mean that the brand may also be exploring larger bump designs for its future camera upgrades.
Speaking more, another downgrade is with respect to the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s 3x telephoto camera. As per what the tipster claims, it has been downgraded to that of the previous Galaxy S25 standard model by equipping a 10MP telephoto camera with f2.4 aperture, 1.0μm pixels, and 1/3.94″ sensor size. Considering this, no camera improvements can be expected on the Galaxy S26 Pro and it could feature the same configuration as mentioned by the tipster.
Looking into other previous updates, Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra was expected to sport a 200MP (main, wide, f/1.4) + 12MP (telephoto, S5K3LD, 3x zoom) + 50MP (periscope telephoto, 5x zoom) + 50MP (ultra wide) quad rear camera system. Also, an older update had even suggested an under-display selfie camera too for the flagship device. A 5000 mAh battery, faster 60W wired charging, and LPDDR5X RAM with higher 10.7 Gbps data rate are also other expected specs of the upcoming device. Regarding its dimension, it is revealed to measure 163.4mm x 77.9mm x 7.xmm (7.9mm as in the image without the camera bump) in size, and the latest report reveals it to weigh slightly less at 217gm.
Stay tuned for more updates.
