Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Camera and Design Aspects Again Criticized, Comparing it With Xiaomi 17 Pro Max; Its S-Pen Top Shape Also Leaked

A lot of details concerning the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra smartphone have already been revealed over the past few weeks, and with respect to its camera and design aspects, Samsung’s flagship has faced significant criticism. By comparing it with the newly-released Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, the areas where the Galaxy S26 Ultra falls back have again been pointed. Additionally, the top shape of its S-Pen has also been leaked now.

Here’s more about the new updates.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra – More Details Shared Concerning its Cameras, Design, and S-Pen

Just like most of the previous updates, this update has also arrived via the tipster @UniverseIce and as per what have been shared, he again notes that Samsung’s next Galaxy S26 Ultra has lost its aesthetic appeal and has fallen behind in terms of its camera specs. Regarding the camera bump, as earlier mentioned, even though it is comparatively similar in size with that of the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, unlike the Xiaomi flagship which sports a 5x zoom 50MP periscope telephoto lens with GN8 sensor, 1/1.95″ size, and F2.6 aperture, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is said to equip a 5x zoom 50MP periscope telephoto lens with IMX854 sensor, 1/2.52″ sensor size, and F2.9 aperture. Also, the tipster adds that the ultra-wide camera specs are underwhelming in the Galaxy S26 Ultra, and it consumes an awful amount of space within the camera module and when looking at the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, the ultra-wide lens has been integrated neatly and cleverly into its body rather than inside the camera module.

Speaking more, apart from the camera specs, its new design is also being criticized as the larger camera protrusion will make the device wobble when placed on flat surfaces like on a table. This is not the case for other latest flagships from Xiaomi and Apple. Also, another design change has also been revealed now by the same tipster, and it is regarding the S-Pen. Its thickness at the top has been increased and unlike before, it won’t be even too – that is, one end is thicker than the other. Moreover, instead of being flat, the extreme top part will be featuring a slope to match with the device’s rounded corner.

So far, only the display specs have been praised in the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra as it is suggested to use the M14 and COE technologies. In related news, the iQOO 15 flagship smartphone was also teased to feature the M14 luminescent material as well.
