Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Edge Battery Specs Revealed Online: Said to Feature Bigger Batteries

Just recently, it was suggested that Samsung is planning to ditch both of its standard and plus models from the Galaxy S26 series and instead will possibly be launching pro, edge, and ultra smartphone models. Following this, new updates have arrived revealing the battery specs that can be expected on the pro and edge devices.

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Edge smartphones as per what has been reported (via Galaxy Club) are believed to carry the respective model numbers of ‘SM-S942’ and ‘SM-S947’, with codenames of ‘M1’ and ‘M2’. About the Galaxy S26 Pro, it will be replacing both the standard and plus models, and is said to pack a 4175 mAh rated battery – which could be marketed as a 4300 mAh typical battery, same as that of the newly-launched Galaxy Z Flip 7 smartphone.

The next Galaxy S26 Edge on the other hand could be packing a 4078 mAh rated – 4200 mAh typical battery backup as per the mentioned source, However, while there are still confusions regarding the matter, the tipster @UniverseIce claims that it is probably going to be backed by a 4400 mAh battery. Either way, the Galaxy S26 Edge is expected to arrive with a significantly larger battery than its predecessor. [The Galaxy S25 Edge only has a battery backup of 3900 mAh.]

Speaking more, as earlier reported, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is still believed to feature the same 5000 mAh battery backup itself, but this time the brand is revealed to offer a faster 60W wired charging capability on the device. Its other expected specs as per reports notably include the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 for Galaxy/Exynos 2600, 6.9″ display, 7.x mm thinner and lighter body, and an updated design.
