Samsung Galaxy A17 5G Spotted on the Malaysian SIRM Certification Database
Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A17 5G smartphone is probably nearing its launch as followed by all of its previous listings, it has now made its appearance on the SIRIM certification database of Malaysia. The new certification listing also confirms the smartphone’s launch in the Malaysian market as well.

Samsung Galaxy A17 5G – SIRIM Certification
The Samsung Galaxy A17 5G smartphone model carrying the model number of ‘SM-A176B/DS’ has been listed on the SIRIM certification database, and it has received the certification with the type approval code of ‘RGQL/32J/0725/S(25-3783)’. It has been categorized under the ‘Mobile Phone’ section and its moniker has also been mentioned on the SIRIM database. To note, the SIRIM-listed device will be supporting a dual SIM card tray, and its certification validity will only be till the 17th of July 2026.

About its previous updates, the Caribbean and Ireland support pages for the Samsung Galaxy A17 5G smartphone are already up, and it has received the FCC and SGS certifications too. Its revealed specs include the 5000 mAh battery (rated value – 4860 mAh) and 25W wired fast charging support, just like its predecessor, along with connectivity specs such as 2G/3G/4G/5G network, WiFi 5, and NFC. Additionally, reports also suggest that Samsung will be offering OIS support on its next Galaxy A17 5G smartphone as well. A tipster recently also pointed out that Samsung is soon planning to unveil the Galaxy A17 5G smartphone (as well as the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite, Galaxy Tab S11, and the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra) for its Indian customers.
