Samsung Galaxy A17 4G (SM-A175F/DSB) spotted on the GCF database

Just a few days back, Samsung officially confirmed that a new A-series device will be launching in India on 29th August. The teaser hinted that the upcoming device could be the Galaxy A17 5G smartphone. There is also a 4G variant of this device that is expected to make its debut in the industry.

Previously Galaxy A17 4G smartphone was spotted on the WiFi Alliance and Bluetooth SIG databases. This variant has now made its appearance on the GCF database with model number SM-A175F/DSB (dual SIM slot variant).

The database reveals that the device supports LTE Band 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38, 40, 41, and eSE-NFC. Other listings revealed specs like- WiFi 5 with 2.4G and 5G dual band connectivity support, WiFi Direct, and Android 14 OS. The appearance of the device on various certification websites suggests that the 4G variant is also nearing its launch.

Coming to the Galaxy A17 5G variant, it has already been unveiled in the European market and is now said to soon arrive in India as well.  It is tipped to be available in three memory configurations: 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB. The respective prices are said to be ₹18,999, ₹20,499, and ₹23,499. Also, unlike the European version, the Indian variant is tipped to come with a charger in the box.
