Redmi has already teased the launch of the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G for the Indian market, though the official launch date is still missing from the promotional posters. Now, the device has surfaced on the Geekbench database, confirming that it will use the same chipset as its global counterpart.
Here is more to it.
Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G spotted on Geekbench
According to a Geekbench listing spotted by tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G carries the model number 2509BRP2DI. This closely matches the global variant’s model number, with the final letter changed from “G” to “I”, indicating the Indian version.
The benchmark results show a single-core score of 1,237 and a multi-core score of 3,276. The CPU configuration includes four cores clocked at 1.80GHz, three cores running at 2.40GHz, and a prime core reaching up to 2.71GHz. Additionally, the source code references the Adreno 810 GPU, which confirms the presence of the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC—the same chipset used in the global variant.
Further details from the listing reveal that the device was running Android 15, which will most likely ship with HyperOS 2 on top. The tested unit also features 8GB of RAM.
Meanwhile, Redmi’s microsites indicate that the brand will begin teasing specifications from December 22, 2025. As of now, no leaks or rumours have confirmed the exact launch date. That said, with the Redmi Note 15 5G reportedly scheduled to launch on January 6th, 2026, it’s possible that the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G could debut around the same time. This remains speculative, however, and Redmi is expected to officially reveal more details in the coming days.
