Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G (2509BRP2DI) and Redmi ‘25099RP13I’ Tablet Spotted on India’s BIS Certification Platform

A few days back, we spotted the upcoming Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G (global model) on the TDRA database of UAE and now, its Indian variant has made it to the BIS certification platform. It has been listed with another Redmi tablet (Indian model).

Here’s more about the update.

Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G (2509BRP2DI) and Redmi ‘25099RP13I’ Tablet – BIS Certification

The Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G tablet carrying the model number of ‘2509BRP2DI’ has been listed on the BIS certification platform, and the ‘I’ abbreviation in the model number means it is the Indian model. Also to note, this device has received the grant or inclusion onto the BIS database as of on the 12th of September 2025.

As mentioned, prior to the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G (Indian model), another Redmi tablet with the model number of ‘25099RP13I’ was listed on the BIS database (on 8th September 2025). The ‘I’ abbreviation again points out that this tablet is also for Indian customers and from what it seems, it could possibly be the WiFi-only variant of the Redmi Pad 2 Pro tablet.

Looking into older reports, the global model of the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G tablet has already been certified by the TDRA authority, and its keyboard made its appearance on the SIRIM, FCC, IMDA, and SDPPI databases. The POCO Pad M1 tablet keyboard was also listed along with it, on the mentioned global certification platforms, and both the POCO Pad M1 and Redmi Pad 2 Pro are believed to be re-branded versions of each other.

Speaking more, an FCC-revealed schematic image of the Redmi Pad 2 Pro keyboard confirmed a pill-shaped rear camera module. Also, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G and Redmi Pad 2 Pro WiFi-only variants are reportedly revealed to have the codenames of ‘P83X’ and ‘P83/flute’.
