Realme has recently launched the Realme 16 5G in Vietnam, and it has now been spotted on the Indian BIS certification. With this certification, it is now confirmed that the device will launch in India soon.

Realme 16 5G – India BIS Certification
The BIS certification under the corresponding models shows the model number “RMX5171”, with the brand name listed as “Realme”. The date of the grant reveals 14th January 2026, hitnting its Indian launch. Although the moniker isn’t listed on the BIS, earlier tipster Abhishek Yadav, when revealing the memory and colour options for the Realme 16 5G’s Indian variant, also mentioned the model number as RMX5171. Additionally, this same model number is listed on the Google Play Console supported devices list with the moniker Realme 16 5G, further confirming that this model number belongs to the Realme 16 5G.
Since it has already been launched in Vietnam, it is likely to arrive in India with the same spec sheet. As per Abhishek Yadav, the Indian variant will be available in two memory options: 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB. He also stated that there will be two colour options for India—Air Black and Air White.
In Vietnam, it was also launched in two colour options: Swan White and Black Cloud. The main highlight of this smartphone is a rear camera mirror integrated into the horizontal camera module. Under the hood, it features the Dimensity 6400 Turbo chipset, a 6050mm² vapour chamber cooling system, and carries an IP66/68/69/69K rating.
As far as the launch timeline for India is concerned, there is currently no official update available. However, my guess is that Realme may launch it either in February or March.
