POCO M8 5G (model number 25118PC98G) spotted on NBTC certification
Poco’s upcoming M-series smartphone, the Poco M8, has now appeared on Thailand’s NBTC certification website, confirming its model number and hinting at an imminent launch in the country.
Here is more to it.
Poco M8 5G spotted on NBTC certification
The Poco M8 5G has been listed on Thailand’s NBTC database with the model number “25118PC98G”. The listing, approved under certification number “B38826-25”, categorises it under Cellular Mobile (GSM/WCDMA/LTE/NR). As usual, the NBTC filing does not reveal any hardware specifications.

This same model number has also surfaced on Singapore’s IMDA certification, which confirms that the device will include NFC support. Additionally, it has appeared on the EEC certification website and on the Indian BIS certification platform, with the model number ending in “I” instead of “G”. The “G” denotes the global variant, and “I” refers to the India-specific model.
If we talk about the specifications, there isn’t much information available about the smartphone yet. However, based on past trends, the Redmi 13C 5G launched as a rebranded Poco M6 5G, and the Redmi 14C 5G arrived as a rebranded Poco M7 5G. So, it’s possible that the Poco M8 5G may launch as a rebranded Redmi 15C 5G.
That said, some reports claim that the Poco M8 5G could debut as a rebranded Redmi Note 15 5G instead.
Since there isn’t enough concrete data at the moment, it’s better to wait for the device to appear on Geekbench, which should reveal more details.
