At the end of last month, two new Philips smartphones were teased to launch in India soon, while it was reported that, just like Acer and Alcatel brands, Philips will also be joining the Indian smartphone market, but the company did not make any official announcement regarding the same.
Today, tipster @passionategeekz has revealed on the X platform that Philips will launch a new tablet in the Indian market next year. Philips Pad Air is said to launch in Q1, 2026. According to the tipster, the device will be powered by the Unisoc T606 SoC that will be paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It is said to sport a 2K display that offers a 90Hz refresh rate. The device may be backed by a 7000 mAh battery and support 18W fast charging.
It is also tipped that Philips will be launching smartphones/ smartwatches/ tablets/ laptops in the country next year, and the company is expected to soon start teasing the launch of these upcoming gadgets. In the coming days, we may come across some more details related to Philips Pad Air.
If we talk about the previous teaser of the new Philips smartphones, the poster revealed two devices. Both of them were suggested to feature a boxy design language, with rounded corners. One of them has a Galaxy S-series ultra model-like lens arrangement, featuring five internal circular units housing three camera sensors, an LED flashlight, and an LED ring light. These are equipped within a vertically placed rectangular-shaped camera module. The other one has a squircle-shaped projected camera module which houses two camera sensors, an LED ring light, and an added sensor. On the two smartphone models, the camera modules were positioned at the top-left corner. The smartphones were revealed in Dark grey and Light grey color options.
