Oppo’s new smartphone with model number “PLS120” spotted on China’s MIIT certification

Oppo has a new smartphone coming up, at least for the Chinese market for now. We have spotted the model number “PLS120” on the Chinese MIIT certification website, which reveals the design and also confirms that it is going to be a 5G smartphone.
According to the MIIT listing, the device is manufactured by Oppo Guangdong Mobile Communications Co., Ltd. in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province. It is classified as a 5G digital mobile phone and supports NR SA/TD-LTE/LTE FDD/WCDMA/GSM standards, 5G-enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB) technology, and 5G cross-network roaming. It is a dual-SIM dual-standby device running Android. The certification (License Number: 02-D124-252530) was issued on August 4, 2025 and is valid until August 4, 2028.

The back panel appears to have a smooth matte finish in dark blue. The camera module is placed in the top-left corner, featuring a dual-camera setup aligned vertically, with a large primary lens on top and a smaller secondary lens below, both housed in squarish cutouts with rounded edges. Next to the second lens, there’s an LED flash, along with a small circular cutout positioned above the flash.
The camera island itself is slightly raised and matches the phone’s colour, but has a glossy border accent around each lens. The OPPO branding is placed towards the centre-lower portion of the back panel.
When compared to the Oppo K12s (also known as the Oppo K13 in India), which was launched in China, the camera design appears quite similar. However, unlike the K12s, this new smartphone features squarish rear camera cutouts with rounded edges. Currently, there is no confirmed moniker for this smartphone, but it may be revealed in the coming days.
