Oppo K15 Pro Series Design and Key Specs Tipped Ahead of Expected April Launch

Previously, a leak had suggested that Oppo may have cancelled the K14 Turbo series. And following this, no further updates were revealed. However, things now seem to be changing, as Oppo could be preparing the K15 Pro series instead. This has been hinted at by tipster DCS.
Here is more about it.
Oppo K15 Pro Series – Design and Specs Tipped
While a few reports are referring to it as the K15 Turbo series, tipster DCS (Digital Chat Station), via his Weibo post, has clarified that it is the K15 Pro series. He specifically mentioned the K15 Pro branding, which suggests that the first model will likely be called the Oppo K15 Pro smartphone. However, the name of the second model in the series has not been revealed yet. He has also shared key design details and specifications, and as per the tipster, the launch is expected to take place in April in China.

As per the revealed details, the K15 Pro series is expected to feature a metal frame body, a flat display and a 50MP dual rear camera setup. In addition to this, he also said that the K15 Pro series will come with a built-in cooling fan.
Speaking more about the specs, the higher-end model is said to be powered by the Dimensity 9500s chipset, whereas the vanilla variant may feature the Dimensity 8500 processor. The higher-end model is also expected to feature a 6.78″ 1.5K LTPS OLED display with a high refresh rate. This approach appears to be similar to Redmi’s Turbo 5 series, where different chipsets are used across different variants.

In the same Weibo post, the tipster has also shared the renders of the upcoming devices. However, he did not specify which variant they belong to. The renders reveal both white (higher-end) and black colour (vanilla-variant) options.
The key difference is that the white colour option features an extended polygonal section around the camera module. Whereas the black colour option follows a more minimal and straightforward design without this extension. Within the squarish camera deco, two circular cutouts are placed vertically, with one of them marked with the letter “K”. Additional smaller cutouts and an LED flash are also present. Notably, grille-like detailing can also be spotted on the right side, which could be associated with the built-in cooling fan as suggested by DCS.
As per the tipster, the higher-end configuration may also include up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. He has also hinted that the pricing of the upcoming series could see an increase due to rising component costs.
Stay tuned for more updates.
