OnePlus 15s Is Not Cancelled but May Come With Different Optics, Claims Tipster
Earlier, some rumours claimed that OnePlus was probably not going to launch the OnePlus 15s and would instead introduce its sibling, the OnePlus 15T, in China. That said, it appears that the OnePlus 15s is now back on the calendar for the launch, if new information from a tipster is to be believed.

OnePlus 15s – Launch tipped
Early rumours claimed that the OnePlus 15s will likely not launch, with some even going ahead and stating that OnePlus itself as a company will be shutting down. However, reports about the company shutting down were later debunked by OnePlus itself.
Now, in a post on X, tipster Yogesh Brar claims that the OnePlus 15s is back on track for launch, and in the same post, he also mentioned that it will arrive with “changed optics.” This could mean that the OnePlus 15s will have a different camera setup compared to the OnePlus 15T, which is rumoured to launch in China soon and is its expected rebrand.
Previously, an alleged listing of the OnePlus 15s smartphone was spotted on the Indian BIS certification with the model number “CPH2793”. However, later, the tipster who shared this info deleted that post on X, so there isn’t much info as such for the 15s at the moment. Meanwhile, specifications of its so-called sibling, the OnePlus 15T, were leaked recently. So most likely, as these brands usually do, most of the specs will likely be the same for both; however, there might be some trimming in the OnePlus 15s’ camera section, as per the new details shared by tipster Yogesh Brar.

Talking about the specs of the upcoming OnePlus 15T, DCS (Digital Chat Station) had revealed (via Weibo) that the OnePlus 15T will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. It will feature a 6.32″ display with 1.5K resolution.
Earlier reports claimed it would come with a triple camera setup consisting of a main, an ultrawide and a telephoto lens. But, as per DCS, it will instead feature a dual camera setup: a 50MP main and a 50MP telephoto. On the front, it will have a 16MP selfie shooter.
Battery is expected to be around a 7,000mAh–8,000mAh and will likely feature an ultrasonic 3D fingerprint sensor, as per some rumours. Now, as far as the launch date is concerned, no definitive leaks have appeared. But if we compare it with the OnePlus 13s, aka 13T, then the 15T will likely break cover in April, and then later on, the OnePlus 15s will probably be available in July.
This is hard to say, because now brands have been launching their smartphones earlier than expected. More details are expected to surface soon, and since these are all based on rumours, it’s better to wait for some official info from OnePlus about these smartphones.
