OnePlus 15R tipped to come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC
OnePlus 15R is soon going to be launched in India and global markets, with the launch expected next month in December. So far, there isn’t much official information, but since the OnePlus 13R came as a rebranded OnePlus Ace 5, earlier rumours suggested that this one would be a rebranded OnePlus Ace 6, which launched in China recently. Because of that, everyone was expecting it to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. However, a tipster named Gadgetsdata on X now claims otherwise.
According to him, the OnePlus 15R will come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, which is set to be launched on November 26. The same chipset is also expected to power the upcoming OnePlus Ace 6T in China, whose teasers have already gone live on Weibo.

In the same post, he also mentions that the OnePlus 15R will feature a dual-camera setup, and although he isn’t completely sure, he suggests it may be a 50MP + 50MP configuration.
Even the microsites of Amazon India and OnePlus India give a slight glimpse of the design, showing a few differences compared to the OnePlus Ace 6. For instance, the LED flash appears to be positioned in a circular layout rather than the pill-shaped vertical design seen on the Ace 6. The colour options visible on the microsites also suggest green and black for the OnePlus 15R.
And if this new tip turns out to be accurate, the OnePlus 15R could become the first smartphone to launch globally with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.
