One UI 8.5 revealed to arrive with adaptive clock, weather effect, floating search bar and bold status bar icon

The rumor mill has been buzzing lately with the updates related to One UI 8.5 that is expected to be released along with the upcoming Galaxy S26 series. Some new changes are now spotted in the One UI 8.5 latest build that will enhance the user experience.

One UI 8.5: New details revealed

Tipster @UniverseIce has shared a video on the X platform that the clock will automatically select the background color to form a harmonious color style with a little frosted glass effect. One UI 8.5 adaptive clock can recognize all objects, and it is not limited only to humans and animals.

The same tipster also shared that in One UI 8.5, users can set the weather effect when they lock the screen wallpaper. In the video, the rain and snowfall effects can be seen.

Another tipster, @tarunvats33, revealed that in the One UI 8.5 latest build, bold and black Status bar icons were spotted.

While the search bar is now floating, it is revealed that while entering the text, it will become normal with the same animations as iOS.

It was previously revealed that One UI 8.5 brings a new Software Download screen and notification badges, while it is also revealed to come with system-wide 3D app icons and a gradient appearance for the weather app. Seems like Samsung will be offering a completely new design language with the upcoming One UI 8.5.
