Nothing Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro appear on Airtel 5G Plus compatible handsets list
Nothing Phone (4a) Series, comprising Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro, have both now appeared on the website showing the list of Airtel 5G Plus compatible handsets, ahead of their scheduled launch in India on March 5th, 2026.
Here is more to it.
Nothing Phone (4a) Series – Airtel 5G Plus Compatible Handset
The list shows two model numbers, A069 and A069P, which belong to the Nothing Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro. Though the site doesn’t show the moniker, both of them have already appeared on several certifications earlier, which had already confirmed thaat the A069 belongs to Nothing Phone (4a), while the A069P belong to the Phone (4a) Pro. However, both of them being spotted on this list of 5G Plus compatible smartphones shows that they will come with high-speed internet compatibility with the Airtel network.
Now to understand the basics, the difference between normal Airtel 5G connectivity and Airtel’s 5G Plus connectivity is that it offers up to 30x faster internet than 4G (high throughput). Under the normal Airtel 5G network, you get 5G NSA (Non-Standalone), but in 5G Plus, you get 5G NSA with optimised bandwidth (5G+ symbol on some devices). The Airtel 5G Plus connectivity also offers ultra-low latency, which is better for those who do online gaming.

In short, both smartphones will offer increased internet speed over cellular connectivity, but the problem with 5G+ is that it drains the battery faster. So, let’s see how the Nothing Phone (4a) series will perform in real life once these are launched.
Officially, Nothing just recently released the design of the Nothing Phone (4a), which shows a new glyph bar that, as per details revealed by Nothing, has 9 mini-LED lights which can be controlled individually, giving users a rather free hand in customising the notification lighting. Under the hood, via rumours, the Phone (4a) is expected to run on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC, while the Phone (4a) Pro is expected to come with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC. However, Nothing so far hasn’t confirmed the exact SoC that will power the smartphones, but it has confirmed that it is using Snapdragon chipsets for both smartphones in the Phone (4a) Series.
Its Indian pricing hasn’t been revealed yet, but some tipsters report that Nothing has already started pre-orders for these smartphones through offline channels in India. Two memory options of 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB have been tipped for both smartphones in the EU region. Colour options, via a publication named Dealabs, were earlier revealed to be Black and White for the Phone (4a)’s 8GB RAM variant, and Black, White, Pink, and Blue for the 12GB RAM variant. While the Phone (4a) Pro’s 8GB RAM is expected to come in Black and Silver, the 12GB RAM is expected to be available in Black, Silver, and Pink.
