New Realme (RMX5170) and OPPO (PLT140) smartphones spotted on TENAA certification, featuring 6,830mAh and 6,335mAh batteries

Two upcoming smartphones have been certified by China’s TENAA, one from Realme and one from OPPO. While the official names are not yet known, the listings reveal detailed specifications.

Realme “RMX5170” spotted on TENAA

The Realme device, with model number RMX5170, features a 6.67″ OLED display at 1080 × 2372 resolution, supporting 10.7 billion colours. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor. The device runs Android, though the version is unspecified. It’s powered by an octa-core processor at 2.5GHz. Memory options include 6GB, 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB of RAM, with storage options ranging from 128GB to 1TB. It supports TF card expansion up to 2TB.

For cameras, it lists a 50MP + 2MP rear setup and a 50MP front camera. The listing mentions three cameras. The phone includes a 6,830mAh battery, face recognition, and dual SIM. It measures 158.3 × 75.13 × 8.1mm and weighs 183 grams. It supports 5G SA, GSM, WCDMA, LTE FDD, LTE TDD, VoLTE, and VoNR. Bluetooth, USB, and OTG support are also listed.

Oppo “PLT140” Spotted on TENAA

The OPPO device, model number PLT140, features a 6.75″ display with a resolution of 1570 × 720 pixels, supporting 16.7 million colours. It runs Android, though the version is not specified. It uses an octa-core processor clocked at 2.4GHz. The memory options are 6GB and 12GB RAM, with storage options of 128GB and 256GB. Storage can be expanded via a microSD card up to 1TB.

Its cameras include a 13MP main rear sensor, a secondary sensor (details not specified), and a 5MP front camera. The listing mentions three rear cameras total. The device has a 6,335mAh battery. It measures 166.1 × 78.5 × 8.61mm and weighs 212 grams. Network support includes 5G SA, GSM, WCDMA, LTE FDD, LTE TDD, VoLTE, and VoNR.

 

Looking at the specs, the Realme smartphone appears to offer better overall specifications compared to the OPPO device. Both, however, will likely be marketed as big-battery smartphones at launch. That said, we’ll have to wait and see, as both have only just surfaced on TENAA.
