New POCO ‘25098RA98I’ and Redmi ‘25118PC98I’ Smartphones Certified by the BIS Authority, Confirming Their India Launch

Two new smartphone models from Xiaomi and that are launching respectively under the POCO and Redmi brandings have been certified by the BIS authority. Via the BIS certification listing, their launch in the Indian market has also been confirmed.

POCO ‘25098RA98I’ and Redmi ‘25118PC98I’ – BIS Certification
The POCO smartphone with the model number of ‘25098RA98I’ and the Redmi smartphone with the model number of ‘25118PC98I’ have received the BIS certification and these are Indian variants as pointed out by the letter ‘I’ in their model numbers. To note, the BIS grant/inclusion date of these smartphones is mentioned to be on the 12th of August 2025.

Speaking more, while nothing about the Redmi ‘25118PC98I’ smartphone is known, previously what seems to be the Chinese variant of the POCO ‘25098RA98I’ smartphone was spotted on the 3C certification database. However, the Chinese variant which carries the model number of ‘25098RA98C’ was listed as a Redmi smartphone. Furthermore, this device is believed to be a Redmi Note 15 series smartphone and the tipster who had shared the update suggested it to be the ‘Redmi Note 15 Pro’.
In related news, the previous Redmi Note 14 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro smartphone models were respectively re-branded as the POCO X7 and POCO X6 devices. Considering this, the same may repeat for the Redmi ‘25098RA98C’ and POCO ‘25098RA98I’ smartphones too, but it is best to wait until more updates arrive and confirm it.
Just to add, the next Redmi Note 15 Pro Series is officially scheduled to debut this month in the Chinese market, and the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Redmi Note 15 Pro+ smartphone models are believed to be unveiled.
