Latest CQC listing confirms that Galaxy S26 Ultra will actually be backed by a 5,000mAh battery

A lot of details related to the upcoming Galaxy S26 series have surfaced online lately. The upcoming series is said to include Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra models, and it is expected to be unveiled early next year.

Back in 2020, Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 Ultra model with a 5,000 mAh battery, and since then, all the Ultra models in the S series have stuck with the same battery capacity. This year, the Galaxy fans expected some kind of change, but previous reports revealed that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will arrive with the same 5,000 mAh battery. Though it was assumed that this might change before the official release of the device.

The latest CQC (China’s Quality Certification Center) listing (via SamMobile) somewhere puts an end to these assumptions. It has issued a certification for the EB-BS948ABY battery with a rated capacity of 4,855 mAh. This is exactly the same as the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

The above listing hints that the Galaxy S26 Ultra model will indeed arrive with a 5,000 mAh battery. Though this time, the device is said to arrive with a fast charging upgrade. Galaxy S22 Ultra model and the models after that supported only 45W fast charging, but it is tipped that Galaxy S26 Ultra will arrive with 60W wired fast charging.
