Honor smartphone models that carry the model numbers of ‘BKQ-AN00’ and ‘BKQ-AN80’ have been certified by the 3C authority, and these are said to be upcoming Magic 8 series smartphones. While the former is simply listed as a ‘5G digital mobile phone’, the latter is pointed out to arrive as a ‘5G digital mobile phone with single Beidou satellite connectivity’. Additionally, up to 90W wired fast charging capability can be expected on both these upcoming devices too as per the 3C certification listing.

Looking at what has been reported, Honor’s Magic 8 series is suggested to offer four smartphone models in total: Honor Magic 8, Honor Magic 8 Pro, Honor Magic 8 Mini, and Honor Magic 8 Ultra. Both the standard and pro models are expected to launch this year itself in 2025 (probably in October), whereas the mini and ultra models are likely scheduled to launch early next year in 2026.

Just like last time, the Magic 8 series is also said to feature the latest Snapdragon 8-series flagship chipset (~ Snapdragon 8 Elite 2), however the Magic 8 Mini is believed to come equipped with the Dimensity 9500 chipset from MediaTek. Furthermore, the Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro smartphones may have 6.58″ and 6.7″ display screens respectively, while the Magic 8 Mini could be offering a smaller 6.3″ display. Regarding the Magic 8 Ultra, it is expected to hit the market as the very first smartphone model to sport a dual 200MP camera system (main and periscope telephoto camera sensors) at the rear.

As the possible launch time frame of the Magic 8 series is quite near, we may be coming across more updates in the coming days and weeks. Stay tuned and don’t miss out on them.
