Geekbench and FCC Listings of the Upcoming Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G Reveal MediaTek Dimensity 7100, NFC Support, and Design Details

We first spotted the Tecno Pova Curve 2 on the Google Play Console with the model number LK7K, revealing some key specs. The same device also showed up on TUV certification, hinting at a hefty 7,750mAh battery. Now, the phone has appeared on the FCC, confirming memory details and giving us a glimpse at its design. Plus, it has also been spotted on the Geekbench database as well.

Tecno POVA Curve 2 5G spotted on FCC with memory details and rear design

The FCC confirms the model LK7K with FCC ID 2ADYY-LK7K. While the name isn’t on the FCC listing, we know from the Google Play Console that it’s the Tecno POVA Curve 2 5G.

One confirmed memory option from the FCC is 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage. On the back, the design schematic reveals a curved panel with a rectangular camera island in the top left corner. The module features a horizontal pill-shaped top section and a circular cutout beneath it, housing the cameras and the circular LED flash. NFC branding is also visible, indicating that the device will support NFC features such as contactless payments.

The FCC test report reveals support for GSM, WCDMA, LTE, and NR (5G) networks, suggesting broad network compatibility. It also confirms support for dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz) and Bluetooth.

On Geekbench, the Tecno Pova Curve 2 appeared under the model number LK7k. The listing shows that the prototype achieved a single-core score of 967 and a multi-core score of 2,645. The listing also confirms that the device was running Android 16, with the version number LK7k-16.1.0.130 (OP001PF001AZ), as revealed through the source code. Furthermore, the source code also unveiled the Mali-G610 MC2 GPU. In addition, the listing detailed the octa-core configuration, with four cores running at 2.00GHz and the remaining four at 2.40GHz. This configuration points to the MediaTek Dimensity 7100, a chipset that was also spotted in the Google Play Console listing.

The Google Play Console also revealed a 12GB RAM variant, a display resolution of 1080 × 2436 pixels, and a density of 420 DPI.

Recently, Tecno teased a POVA smartphone for India. While they haven’t named the model, the timing suggests it could well be the POVA Curve 2 5G. With so many certifications and listings, we likely won’t have to wait long for an official reveal.
