Alleged Vivo V70 appears on Geekbench with Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, 8GB RAM and Android 16

Vivo is preparing to launch its next V-series smartphone, the Vivo V70. The device was recently spotted in the IMEI database with the model number V2538, and it has now appeared on Geekbench as well, revealing some key specs about it.

The Geekbench listing was first spotted by tipster Abhishek Yadav, showing the same model number V2538. While the listing only shows the model number, its previous IMEI appearance confirms that it belongs to the upcoming Vivo V70.

According to the benchmark, the device scored 4848 in the OpenCL test. It features an octa-core processor, with one prime core clocked at 2.80GHz, four performance cores at 2.40GHz, and the remaining efficiency cores at 1.84GHz. The listing also mentions the Adreno 722 GPU, which is paired exclusively with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, confirming the processor inside the V70. Geekbench also shows that the system can use around 3.5GB of RAM for GPU-related tasks.

The listing further suggests that the phone will come with 8GB RAM (one of the variants) and run Android 16 with OriginOS 6 global version on top, with the software build listed as PD2529F_EX_A_16.0.7.0.W30. The source code reveals that the CPU was running close to its maximum frequency at 2.76GHz during testing.

Earlier, another model from the same lineup, the Vivo V70 Lite 4G, was spotted on Bluetooth SIG certification. With the Vivo V70 now appearing on Geekbench, it looks like the official launch is getting closer.
