Alleged Poco X8 Pro Max spotted on Indian BIS certification with model number “2602BPC18I”
Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has recently confirmed that the Redmi Turbo 5 Max will be launching soon in its home market, China. Now, what appears to be a rebranded version of the same device, the Poco X8 Pro Max, has been spotted on the Indian BIS certification.
Here is more to it.
Poco X8 Pro Max spotted on Indian BIS
As per the BIS listing, the device carries the model number “2602BPC18I”, and it reveals that approval was granted on 13th January 2026. The listing further confirms that the handset is registered under the Poco brand. Sadly, the certification does not reveal the official moniker, nor any specs.
Looking at the model number that has appeared on BIS, it matches with 2602BRT18C, which was previously spotted on the 3C certification with 100W fast charging support and on the Geekbench database with the Dimensity 9400+ (now confirmed to be Dimensity 9500s), with the only change being the last letter shifting from C to I. Speaking more about this, the Indian variant includes the initials PC, while the Chinese variant, since it is launching under the Redmi branding, carries RN in the model number.

Earlier, the model number “2602BRT18C” was rumoured to be the Redmi Turbo 5 Max Pro, but after Redmi officially revealed the specifications yesterday, it is now expected that the model belongs to the Redmi Turbo 5 Max.
So, this suggests that the upcoming Poco X8 Pro Max could indeed be the rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 5 Max. However, since the moniker has not yet surfaced on any certification platform, it would be wise to take the naming details with a pinch of salt for now.
