Alleged POCO M8 5G (25118PC98G) Receives the IMDA and EEC Certifications: Launch in Singapore and Europe Confirmed
The alleged POCO M8 5G smartphone device has now received the IMDA and EEC certifications and via the certification listings, its arrival to the Singaporean and European markets has been confirmed.

Alleged POCO M8 5G (25118PC98G) – IMDA and EEC Certifications
On the IMDA certification database of Singapore, the alleged POCO M8 5G smartphone which carries the model number of ‘25118PC98G’ (‘G’ – global variant) has been listed and it is categorized as a 5G mobile phone supporting Bluetooth, WiFi, and NFC connectivity support. Additionally, it is also mentioned as a low power radio equipment. The same device received the EEC certification with the notification number of ‘KZ0000010992’, and its certification validity is till the 31st of December 2034. As mentioned, the launch of this smartphone in Singapore and Europe has now been confirmed as well.
Speaking more, previously a Redmi smartphone with a similar model number of ‘25118PC98I’ (‘I’ – Indian variant) was certified by the BIS authority too, confirming its India launch. This means the BIS-listed Redmi smartphone and the IMDA/EEC-listed POCO smartphone are possibly re-branded versions of each other.
In related news, a few days back, the Redmi Note 15 4G and the Redmi Note 15 Pro 4G received the EEC certification, while the Redmi Note 15 Pro 4G was also listed on the IMDA database. Also, the September 2025-debuted Xiaomi 17 series launch in the Indian market has also been confirmed and it is believed to take place soon.
