Moto G36 5G spotted on TENAA certification
It has been spotted on the TENAA certification with the model number “XT2533-4”. Though the moniker isn’t listed on the certification, as per rumours, it is suggested that this model number belongs to the Moto G36 5G. According to the listing, the device will sport a 6.72-inch TFT display with a resolution of 1080 × 2400 pixels and support for 16.7 million colours. It is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 2.4GHz and will be offered in multiple memory configurations, including 4GB, 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB of RAM, along with storage options of 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. The certification also confirms a large 6790mAh battery, and from the 3C certification, it was revealed to come with 33W fast wired charging support.
In terms of dimensions, the phone measures 166.3 × 76.5 × 8.7mm and weighs 210 grams. It supports dual SIM standby with connectivity options like USB and Bluetooth. On the network side, the device will support GSM, WCDMA, LTE FDD, LTE TDD, and 5G NR (both SA and NSA modes) with a wide range of bands, including Band 1, 3, 5, 8, 28, 38, 39, 40, 41, 78, and N1, N8, N5.
Also, the TENAA listing shows a dual rear camera setup of 50MP + 8MP and a 20MP front camera, with support for 2× optical zoom. The device also includes sensors such as a gravity sensor, distance sensor, light sensor, fingerprint scanner, and face recognition for added security and usability.
The certification further reveals that the device will not support expandable storage but will include essential functions like GPRS, EDGE, VoLTE, VoNR, MMS, emergency calls (110, 119, 112, 120, 122), and supplementary services such as call hold, call waiting, caller ID, and call forwarding.
Also, on the rear, it features a matte-finished purple back panel with the signature batwing logo placed at the centre. The camera setup carries a quad-ring style, housing three sensors and an LED flash in a neat 2×2 grid arrangement. The right-side frame accommodates the power button, likely integrated with a fingerprint sensor, alongside the volume rocker. The left side appears reserved for the SIM tray. The front isn’t clearly visible, but it does show a punch-hole camera layout.
Furthermore, the Moto G36 5G alleged listing was also spotted on the Indian BIS certification as well. Looking at all these certifications, Motorola may soon announce the launch date.
