Well, we have been covering Xiaomi MI Smartband 9 for a long time. And now a piece of new information has been unearthed, Xiaomi is also coming up with a new e-Sim-enabled smartwatch. This information has been leaked by a reliable tipster DCS(Digital Chat Station).

Now DCS has unveiled the first hand information about Xiaomi’s upcoming smartwatch. As per the tipster, this new smartwatch will come with a large battery capacity of 586 mAh. As per him, Xiaomi is focusing on a longer battery life with this smartwatch. Also, there will be an OLED screen panel with circular dial.

It is still too early for us to make any predictions, but if I were to guess, it might be the Xiaomi Watch 3. I know it’s a long shot, but I think this upcoming smartwatch might be the Xiaomi Watch 3.

Also, Xiaomi MI Band 9 which was spotted on China’s Radio Frequency certification(Both NFC and Non NFC), is probably delayed as per DCS. This smart band will not only be released in China but will also come globally. As it has been spotted in several global certifications: IMDA Singapore and UAE’s TDRA. Even though it has been sighted on several certifications, we might still have to wait more for this upcoming smart band.

If you remember Xiaomi launched the Band 8/8 NFC in April of last year in China and it looks like we may have its successor soon. We recently reported that Band 9/ 9NFC picked up Radio Frequency certification from China. Through the certification, the model numbers were revealed as  “M2345B1” for Band 9 and “M2346B1” for Band 9 with NFC. And now, we at The Tech Outlook, have spotted Band 9 on IMDA certification with model number “M2345B1”.

Though the moniker isn’t present on the certification, the model number is and an earlier report concluded that “M2345B1” belongs to Band 9 (Non-NFC). Besides this, it shows as a Low-Power Device and is listed as BLTH(Bluetooth) under the equipment type. I didn’t find any details regarding the hardware specs it may offer on this certification.

At this stage only the non-NFC band 9 is registered, however, it looks like we may not see the NFC global version of Band 9. The reason behind my assumption is that Xiaomi didn’t launch the Band 8 NFC variant outside China. Looking at the record of Xiaomi Band 8, Xiaomi may keep the NFC variant exclusive to China. But it’s still too early for me to run my guessing machine, so I will hold on to it by keeping my fingers crossed.
