It looks like Meta is again facing issues with WhatsApp, as users are unable to send or receive messages. So, if you think that your wifi isn’t working, this time it isn’t the case because it’s an outage at WhatsApp. The same has been reported on the DownDetector which states that the problem started at 1.33 AM IST(Indian Standard Time).

Not only the Mobile App version is down, but also the Web version isn’t working yet. While refreshing sometimes it is giving an error something went wrong. So far no information has been made available by WhatsApp regarding the issue. If you refresh the desktop version you will just see the loading screen with a message “WhatsApp end to end encryption”.

While WhatsApp Team tries to resolve the issue, let’s take a breather and enjoy great Twitter memes

WhatsApp users were left wondering whether there was something wrong with their Internet. As they scrolled and were able to access other apps, they realized that WhatsApp was down. Immediately, several users started creating memes about the situation. Some posted them on social media sharing apps such as Twitter as well as Instagram. These memes were made in various languages across the globe. Some memes posted Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta and WhatsApp trying to figure out what went wrong. Whereas, on the other hand, other memes posted celebratory reactions of other apps such as Telegram as well as Twitter. Most of these memes were reaction-based memes and those which used pictures for reactions. Memes are the best way to laugh off a serious situation. And, so users resorted to memes as often times. The comments poured in with laughing emoticons, giggles and more. Indeed, the laughter must have been real.

However, on the other hand, people who were having work conversations or important group chats on WhatsApp were unhappy. Random disruptions such as these are not always a pleasant surprise. Yet we believe that the memes posted online would have made them feel better about the entire situation. Laughing it off is better than cribbing about a short-term crisis such as this one.

As WhatsApp has now resumed working in most parts of the world, users seem to be delighted. That’s what matters exactly at this moment in time.

We have checked the downtime detector which states that it has been down and is being reported by a lot of users over the ineternet.

So far no information has been provided by WhatsApp, even people took to Twitter for the information but still, there is nothing so far. The same kind of downtime also happened in the past where people faced the same kind of problem.
