This foldable smartphone comes in single storage option of 16GB/512GB priced at Rs.1,59,999. The official sale for the device will begin on 13 June though it is currently up for pre-booking via Vivo India’s website, Amazon, Flipkart, selected retail stores, and Vivo Stores.

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro: Specifications

It features an 8.03-inch LTPO 8T main display that offers 2k resolution, 4500 nits peak brightness, Dolby Vision support, and HDR10 support. While it sports a 6.53-inch LTPO 8T cover display. Both displays offer a 120 Hz refresh rate. It is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC that is paired with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage.

The device packs up a Zeiss-backed triple rear camera setup that includes a 50MP main camera with OIS support, a 64MP telephoto sensor, and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor. The main display and cover display feature 32MP selfie cameras. It is backed by a 5700 mAh battery that supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Vivo X Fold 3 Pro Google Play Console

It has been listed with the model number “V2330” and the moniker as X Fold 3 Pro. This model number was also spotted on the Indonesian telecom authorities SDPPI and TKDN, as well as Bluetooth SIG. Returning to the Google Play Console listing, it shows that the system on chip has a model number “QTI SM8650”, which corresponds to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with Adreno 830 (903MHz) and 16GB RAM. It has a base core clocked at 3.3 GHz, five cores clocked at 3.2 GHz, and two cores at 2300 MHz. The listing also indicates that it will run on Android 14-based FuntouchOS 14, though the specific version of FuntouchOS 14 is not listed. The screen size is listed as 2200×2480 pixels with a screen density of 480 (xxhdpi).

Also, the placeholder image used here is for the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro in celestial black color. When compared with its Chinese counterpart, there is no difference at all, according to the Google Play Console listing. Earlier, I thought there might be some changes in terms of how the cores are clocked, but today’s listing clears this doubt. In fact, it will be an exact copy of the Chinese version that was launched recently.

The Chinese variant came with two storage options: 512GB and 1TB and a single RAM option of 16GB. Let’s see if Vivo launches it with both storage options globally. The launch date is June 6th, and only a few days are left for this beauty to unfold.

Although the launch date hasn’t been disclosed yet, a tipster recently suggested that the launch may happen in early June.

In terms of specifications, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro was earlier sighted on a Geekbench with the model number “V2330.” According to the listing, it is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, similar to its Chinese counterpart. Additionally, we can expect at least 16GB of RAM and Android 14 out of the box. However, it is uncertain which version of FuntouchOS 14 will be included.

Apart from the Geekbench listing, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro has also been spotted on Indonesian SDPPI, TKDN, Bluetooth SIG, and BIS. The listings on SDPPI and TKDN suggest that it is also coming to Indonesia, though the launch date there is currently unknown.

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro spotted on BIS, Bluetooth SIG and TKDN

Starting with the Bluetooth SIG, which further confirmed the model number “V2330” as the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, the listing shows it will be equipped with Bluetooth version 5.4 and was listed on April 23rd 2024. Moving onto the BIS certification, it was first spotted by 91mobiles, and this same model number is present on that certification, as seen on the Bluetooth SIG. The only drawback of the BIS certification is that the moniker is not present. However, earlier sightings on the SDPPI and today’s Bluetooth SIG add value to the belief that the model number V2330 is indeed the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro.

Lastly, the TKDN certification reveals that the network connectivity will include “5G NR; FDD-LTE: B1/3/5/8; TDD-LTE: B40; GSM: 900/1800 MHz; WCDMA: 900/2100 MHz” but doesn’t provide much additional information.

So far, only the Pro variant has been spotted on several certifications, which leads me to believe that the Vanilla variant may be dropped. It is currently unknown whether Vivo will launch the same variant of the X Fold 3 Pro that is available in China or if there will be any variants.

From my past experience reporting on gadgets, typically after a gadget appears on the Bluetooth SIG, it is released within a month or two. So, I would guess it will be either May or June. As usual, my favorite disclaimer: these are early sightings, and we should always wait for the official confirmation from the brand.

Both the vanilla (V2303A) and the Pro (V2337A) variants feature a massive 8.03-inch AMOLED inner screen and a 6.53-inch external screen with a peak brightness of 4500 nits. Recent leaks of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 suggest it may feature a 7.6-inch inner screen and 6.2-inch outer screen, potentially outplayed by Vivo if these leaks hold true. The screens offer a 120 Hz refresh rate for both the internal and external displays with capacitive multi-touch support.

Moving to other specs, the vanilla variant comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 paired with Adreno 740, while the Pro variant boasts the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor paired with Adreno 750. Both smartphones feature LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 support for storage. They both run on OriginOS 4 based Android 14 out of the box.

Vivo claims that the hinge is made of carbon fiber and can be folded 500,000 times. The Pro variant offers IPX8 water resistance, while the vanilla variant has IPX4 certification.

Vivo has deployed its own self-developed V3 Imaging chip in the Pro variant, while no details are available for the Vanilla variant. The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro comes in two storage options: 16GB+512GB at ¥9999 (Approx. $1385.23) and 16GB+1TB at ¥10999 (Approx. $1523.77), while the X Fold 3 comes in 4 variants: 12GB+256GB at ¥6999 (Approx. $969.62), 16GB+256GB at ¥7499 (Approx. $1038.89), 16GB+512GB at ¥7999 (Approx. $1108.16), and 16GB+1TB at ¥8999 (Approx. $1246.69). Both smartphones come in two color options: light feather white and thin wing black. They have been listed on Vivo China’s official website, but the sales date hasn’t been shared yet, although it is expected to start from this month onwards.

Some may wonder if Vivo will bring the X Fold 3 series to the global market. Although Vivo hasn’t shared any timeline or information regarding the global launch of these smartphones. However, a recent report has spotted the X Fold 3 Pro global variant on an Indonesian certification website. So for now, we can speculate that Vivo may indeed bring the X Fold 3 Pro to a global audience.

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro – Real Life Images Shared

This is the White color variant of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro smartphone and from what can be understood, the device really has a very slim form factor design. The side panels have a Grey/Silver color scheme, and antenna lines can be seen all along. The right side panel has the volume rocker and power button, while the left side panel has an added alert slider. At the bottom, USB type-C charging port(obviously), speaker grilles, and a microphone hole can be spotted, and an additional microphone hole is given at the top.

The rear panel portion has a slightly projected circular Zeiss-branded triple camera module. One of the camera sensors is a periscope telephoto camera, and the camera module also houses the dual-tone LED flashlight within. The cover display comes with very slim bezels, and the left and right parts seems to be a little curved. A centrally-aligned punch-hole camera is also a highlight of the cover display.

Coming to the main foldable display, the device have symmetrical slightly thick bezels around it. Notably, there are no evident crease marks (and the hinge is also well-build). The inner front-facing camera is however not centrally aligned, but placed at the extreme right side.
