Earlier this morning, Vivo announced the Y38 5G in the Taiwanese market with a snapdragon chipset. And again we are back with another Vivo smartphone being launched but in the Indian market. Vivo V30e has been in the news for quite some time now and is released with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SOC.

Vivo V30e 5G comes with a 6.78″ AMOLED ultra-slim 3D curved display. It packs a 5,500 mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. In terms of camera, you will get a dual rear camera setup of a 50MP OIS Sony IMX 882 sensor and an 8 MP wide-angle sensor supporting Rear Aura Light with dual color temperature. The front selfie shooter has a 50 MP Eye AF sensor.

You will get FuntouchOS 14 skin based on Android 14 out of the box. And you will get 3 Android OS upgrades with 4 years of Android Security patch updates. It is being offered in two colour options velvet red and Silk Blue. Coming to the weight of this smartphone, the Velvet red Colour variant weighs about 188g and is slightly heavier than the Silk Blue variant which is 179g.

For connectivity, you will get a Dual SIM option, WIFI 5, Bluetooth 5.1, and will support these 5G bands n1/n3/n5/n8/n28B/n40/n77/n78. Another thing to notice here is that NFC is missing in this smartphone. Other than this it is being offered with an extended RAM of up to 12GB.

Pricing and Availability

It is launched with a single RAM option but offers two storage options: Rs 27,999.00 for 8GB+128GB and Rs 29,999 for 8GB+256GB. Currently available for pre-sale on Flipkart and Vivo India Website. It will be officially available for purchase starting May 9th, 2024, in India. As for offers, customers will receive an instant discount of up to Rs 3,000 if they use an SBI or HDFC Bank credit or debit card (valid for online purchases). For offline purchases, there is a flat 10% instant discount available with ICICI, SBI, IndusInd, IDFC, and other banks, along with a 12-month zero down payment option with select NBFC partners.

Update 23rd April 2024 – Again we have spotted this smartphone on the UAE’s TDRA certification. It is listed there with a model number “V2339” and an equipment registration number “ER30974/24”. Vivo has already confirmed the Indian launch date of this smartphone and looks like it will be launched in other regions also. The TDRA listing doesn’t reveal much about the hardware or software aspect of this smartphone. But rather put a stamp that it will be launched in UAE also.

The Vivo V30e is already in the making, and recently Vivo announced that it will launch in the Indian market on May 2nd. Additionally, it has been discovered on the Indonesian SDPPI certification website.

Vivo V30e SDPPI certification

The smartphone bears the model number ‘V2339’ and the moniker ‘V30e’ on this certification. The certification number is ‘98656/SDPPI/2024’, with a PLG ID of ‘5466’, and it was approved on April 17, 2024. While the certification does not disclose the hardware or software specifications of this upcoming smartphone, it does indicate that a launch in Indonesia is imminent.

Vivo has already teased some of the specs for the Indian market. According to the teaser, it is expected to come in two color options: Red Velvet and Silk Blue, featuring a 50 MP main rear camera with a Sony IMX882 Sensor and AURORA LED light. Additionally, it will be packed with a 5,000 mAh battery boasting a 4-year battery health.

Its geekbench listing has also revealed it to come equipped with Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SOC with Android 14 out of the box and will support at least 8GB RAM. On a side note, we were the first who discover the Moniker of this model number “V2339”. However, it doesn’t end here, Vivo V30e was recently spotted on the Bluetooth SIG but with a different model number “V2340 “. But today’s listing rather confirms the Indonesian version will be the same as the Indian version. As both of them carry the same model number.

Vivo V30e: Specifications (revealed)

It will come with two colour options Velvet Red and Silk Blue. Looking at the design, it will come with an Ultra-Slim 3D Curved display. The design is also revealed, showing off an elegant back design with a circular camera island having a golden outer ring with Aurora Light badging. It will have a dual rear camera setup of a 50MP eye AF main camera with ring LED and a Sony IMX882 Sensor. It will be backed by a 5500 mAh battery is claimed to arrive with a 4-year battery health. Vivo is also coming up with a Smart Color Temperature Adjustment feature that will help in capturing images in a low-light atmosphere. The device will also include features like- Wedding-style portrait and Professional Portrait mode.

Other than this the upcoming smartphone is expected to arrive with Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor and may run on Android 14 OS.

The Bluetooth SIG certification confirmed it will have Bluetooth Version 5.1. Its retail unit box was also revealed last week, which aligns with the design that has been unveiled today.
